Bodyshock - Half Tone Man

American Patrick Deuel was the fattest man on the planet when the Half Ton Man, also part of the Body Shock strand, was made. Weighing 76 stone, had hadn't left his house in 10 years.

Patrick D. Deuel (born 28 March 1962), of Nebraska, was one of the heaviest people in the world. He was the subject of the documentary "Half Ton Man" in Channel Four's BodyShock series, in which Rosalie Bradford gave advice after achieving a record-breaking weight loss of 410 kilograms (900 lb).

Deuel is a former restaurant manager. At one point, he had not left his house, or even his bed, in 7 years. He stands at 175 cm (5 ft 9 in). At his peak he weighed 486 kilograms (1,070 lb); at the time, the only scale that could be used to weigh him was a livestock scale.

He was so enormous that his bedroom wall had to be cut out to extract him from his home. Then, he was rushed to a Sioux Falls, South Dakota hospital in an ambulance with extra-wide doors and a ramp-and-winch system that had to be dispatched from Denver.

Gastric bypass surgery was thought to be his best chance for permanent weight loss. A second operation removed a mass of fat and skin hanging from his midsection.

After 12 months, Patrick lost 260 kilograms (570 lb)[4]. After leaving the hospital, Patrick lost even more weight, reaching 170 kilograms (370 lb), a notable 318 kilograms (700 lb) loss. Since then, Patrick had a setback and his guess is that he now weighs 193 kilograms (430 lb)

Natalya Nikolayevna Demkina (Russian: Ната́лья Никола́евна Де́мкина; born 1987 in Saransk, Mordovia), usually known under the hypocoristic naming Natasha Demkina, is a young woman from Saransk, Russia, who claims to possess a special vision that allows her to look inside human bodies and see organs and tissues, and thereby make medical diagnoses. Since the age of ten, she has performed readings in Russia.

In 2004 she appeared on television shows in the United Kingdom, on the Discovery Channel and in Japan. Since 2004 Demkina has been a full-time student of the Semashko State Stomatological University, Moscow. Since January 2006, Demkina has worked for the Center of Special Diagnostics of the Natalya Demkina (TSSD), whose stated purpose is to diagnose and treat illness in cooperation with "experts possessing unusual abilities, folk healers and professionals of traditional medicine.

According to her mother, Tatyana Vladimovna, Demkina was a fast learner, but was otherwise a normal child until she was ten years old, at which time her ability began to manifest itself.
"I was at home with my mother and suddenly I had a vision. I could see inside my mother's body and I started telling her about the organs I could see. Now, I have to switch from my regular vision to what I call medical vision. For a fraction of a second, I see a colorful picture inside the person and then I start to analyze it." says Demkina.

After describing her mother's internal organs to her, Demkina's story began to spread by word of mouth among the local population and people began gathering outside her door seeking medical consultations. Her story was picked up by a local newspaper in spring 2003 and a local television station followed suit in November that year. This led to interest from a British tabloid newspaper which invited her to give demonstrations in London, as well as further invitations from groups in New York and Tokyo.

My Shocking Story - Worlds smallest Kids

Very little is known about the smallest people in the world. Primordial Dwarfism is the rarest type of dwarfism that results in smaller body size in all stages of life beginning from before birth; rarely growing more than 3 feet. It is estimated that there are only 100 individuals in the world with the disorder, 40 of them are in the US. We travel to America and Canada to meet 3 of them: 13 year-old (14 at the end of the film), Taylor Marcello, 12 year-old Hannah Kritzeck and 4 year-old Tyler White.

We follow our main character, Taylor, 2 feet 9 inches tall and weighing just 17 pounds; at a time in her life when body image is becoming paramount and being “different” is her biggest nightmare. How many toddler-sized girls do you know who are going through puberty and worrying about the opposite sex? Socially, she is becoming more aware – and dealing with the early adult world. She is at a normal school, hanging out with kids of normal size, going to the mall and the school dance, and trying to be an average kid.

We join her as she is dealing with all these challenges, as well as just having had major spine surgery. We follow her journey of recovery as she takes brave steps to become stronger, culminating in her primordial dwarf birthday party - probably the biggest primordial dwarf gathering ever - where she is finally able to swim and hang out with her friends after months of resting.

We meet her friend, Hannah, dealing with the same social issues, and slowly accepting the fact that she is, and always will be, little. Hannah will need to have the same surgery as Taylor – but has not yet come to terms with this. We also meet Tyler White, a 4 year old from Canada, whose British parents are in the early diagnosis stages of their son’s condition. We follow them on their journey to meet other primordial dwarves for the first time in the hope of gaining reassurance about their son’s future.

Incredibly Small - Kenadie Story

A look inside the life of Kenadie Jourdin, a two-year-old girl who weighs 8lbs and is 24-inches long, due to the fact that she is a primordial dwarf - one of only 30 in the world.

Born Feb.13, 2003 in Ontario Canada, Doctors were at a loss as to why she was born so small and told her parents this little miracle baby likely wouldn't live through the night. But she did.

She continued to defy doctors expectations and at the age of 8 months, Kenadie was finally diagnosed with primordial dwarfism, a genetic condition that is believed to affect only about 100 people in the world. She isn't expected to grow past about 30 inches or weigh more than 8 pounds.
